British Columbia has the lowest industrial water rates in the country, effectively giving away massive volumes of water—our most precious natural resource—to some of the world’s largest companies. Meanwhile, communities across the province are struggling to fund efforts to fight increasing droughts, floods, and wildfires. 

By ending the Great Water Giveaway and bringing industrial water rates in line with other provinces, the BC government can take a practical, fiscally responsible step toward lasting watershed security across the province—without increasing costs for taxpayers.
